with 200,000 palms.In the palm garden you will find one very special palm tree, the Palmera Imperial (Imperial palm tree). This palm tree is the only one in the world with seven logs and looks like a candlestick in appearance. According to history, Princess Sissi fell in love with Elche in 1894 thanks to this palm tree. Next to this imperial palm tree there are more palm trees with names, mostly these palm trees are named after tribute to local and national heroes

Benidorm is a seaside resort on the Spanish coast (the Costa Blanca). Benidorm is 41 kilometers from Alicante. The city has 66,642 inhabitants (2016). Amphitheater: A first amphitheater was created in the 1st century BC. built during the reign of Emperor Augustus. The amphitheater where remnants are still visible, is probably around 70 AD. built during the Vespasian government. The building accommodated about 11,000 spectators, making it one of the largest amphitheatres of the province of Hispania.
Castles: Cartagena has 4 castles, 3 of which have been restored in their original state. Beautiful to see.

Are you looking for something special and do you like nature? Then it is definitely recommended to visit the waterfalls of Algar and the mountain village of Guadelest. Both are high on the tourist list of visits, but it is also worth visiting
Les Fonts d’Algar, located just 15 km from Benidorm, in the direction of Bolulla, form a nature reserve with a high degree of conservation of ecological and endowed wealth. This space was declared a Wet Zone protected by an agreement of the government of Valencia on September 10, 2002. The visit consists of a circuit of 1.5 km long in the course of the river Algar (“cave” in Arabic) to to see the landscape of the characteristic modeling of limestone rock: the spectacular waterfalls; the numerous springs that spring from the rock; the pools of water at various levels where you can take refreshing baths of pure and crystal clear water, formerly considered a “source of health”; the old dam, the imposing canal and the eternal ditches that are still in use. These waterfalls are a major tourist attraction for both foreigners and Spaniards. The following facilities are available: Tourist Information Office, car parks, toilets, first aid, Arboretum, the picnic area and a camping site. To all this we have to add the Dino Park Algar, as well as the 5 restaurants that exist in the area, where you can enjoy the tastiest tapas.

Real club de golf Campoamor
Located 20 minutes drive from Torrevieja. The resort has an 18 hole golf course, par 72, 6 km long and was opened in 1889. This golf resort has one of the longest courses in the area, with wide and long fairways. Yet precision is more important here than you would initially think. Near Benidorm you will find the nature park Terra Natura. It is a park of about 32Ha large where 200 animal species live. You will find animals from every continent: elephants, monkeys, reptiles, bears and jaguars. There is also a dolphin show and it is possible to swim with these dolphins.
Guardemar la Segura
There is a market every evening in high season. Guardemar is located by the sea and has a large nature area where you can walk to your heart’s content and where you can rent bicycles and canopy (6 people). Here you will find dunes, waterfalls and free a small animal park with turtles, peacocks, and various small animals. There is also a playground here for the smallest among us.
For the tennis or paddle lovers among us are located in Guardemar tennis and paddel courts. Here you can rent jobs per hour for € 2.50. These are hard court jobs.
Furthermore, in all places around Torrevieja both hard courts and clay courts can be rented for € 2.50 to € 4 per hour.
For the people who love shopping there are also plenty of opportunities. Torrevieja houses many small boutiques that you can find in the narrow picturesque streets and on the boulevard. You can also pick up your shopping heart in the shopping centers mentioned below.

La Zenia shopping center is the largest shopping center in the entire Costa Blanca. It has 150 shops built on 161,000 m2 where you will find the following shops: Leroy Merlin, Decathlon, Norauto, Conforama, Primark, Zara, H & M, C & A, Deichmann, Guess, Geox, Swarovski, Punto Roma, Kiko, Druni, media market and many others that have not been mentioned.
